The fortress of Sacsayhuaman in Peru is a great construction of the Inca
In the XII century huge greatness in Peru reaches civilization of the Incas. Actually, the “Inka” was called the Governor of the existing Empire, descended from the sun God. Inca culture reflects the important influence of the sun. And, unsurprisingly, the main city of the Empire, Cusco, the stories were built of gold, symbolizing the sun. And humbly over the city towered the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
The Construction Of Sacsayhuaman
In the General plan of the city, resembling a Puma, Sacsayhuaman was in place of teeth. The Incas it was called “the Head of the Puma”. Construction began in the XV century and ended when the eleventh Inca Huayna Capac (1493-1525 years), only taking about 50 years. The work of the Incas, compared to the construction of the ancient pyramids of Egypt and the great wall of China. Researchers estimate on the building was employed about 70 000 people. PERSIA. THE ANCIENT CIVILIZATION. Persia is the ancient name of the country in southwest Asia, which since 1935 has been officially called Iran. First used both names, and today the name “Persia” is still used when it comes to Iran.
In ancient times Persia became the center of one of the greatest in the history of Empire, stretching from Egypt to the Indus river. Its membership includes all previous empires – the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Assyrians and the Hittites. Later the Empire of Alexander the great almost did not include territories that never belonged to the Persians, while it was less than Persia under king Darius.
Since the emergence in the 6th century BC to the conquest by Alexander the great in the 4th century BC for two and a half centuries Persia occupied the dominant position in the Ancient world. Continue reading
Found megalithic structure
Archaeologists have discovered the world’s oldest temple – megalithic structure, which scientists have dubbed the “Turkish Stonehenge”. Scientists consider it “the most important building in the world”: a place of worship of ancient people called Göbekli Tepe in South-Eastern Turkey over the famous English Stonehenge by seven thousand years.
The temple of Göbekli Tepe is a circle with a diameter of from 15 to 50 meters, surrounded by rectangular stone walls about 3 feet high. Many of the pillars are carved columns with relief figures of animals. In addition to the bulls, foxes and cranes, the pillars can be distinguished lions, ducks, Scorpions, ants, spiders and snakes. Inside the circles were also found free-standing sculptures of animals. In the last season of excavations, archaeologists discovered a statue of a man and sculpture of the head and neck of a wild boar. Continue reading
